Friendsgiving

Had our favorites over last night for a pre-holiday gathering.  It was, as always, quite lovely.

It's fun for us to prep and for the kids to get ready to hang with their homies.

 

And then, hot damn, they arrive and the fun begins.

 

And we even got to celebrate a little ole' birthday.



Thankful.  For a good night.  And good food. And those good friends who just keep on keeping on. After all these years.

Down South On The West Coast.

Dave and I took a little trip to San Francisco for a friend's bday party this last weekend.

It was a good choice. 

Sunny weather.  Good friends. And lots of fabulous scenery. 

I may have, in fact, left my damn heart there.

That trickster Henry got out the door without a Halloween picture this morning. 

But Stella didn't make it.  I got her.

And by her, I mean Bad Ass Bat Girl. 

Whew.  This girl knows how to do Halloween.

Her and her Roman soldier brother are gonna paint this town orange tonight.
